Our flagship spirit, named after the original word for the Ohio River Valley (“O-Why-O”), is a smooth, full-bodied vodka brimming with character. OYO is made from local soft red winter wheat, and demonstrates a perfect balance of cutting-edge technology, old-world traditions, and the finest farm-fresh ingredients. Sometimes referred to as a “whiskey-lover’s” vodka, OYO makes an excellent sipping spirit, and it’s a perfect pairing for mixers and culinary creations.

OYO Honey Vanilla Bean Vodka

The premier product in a line of seasonally inspired infusions featuring Middle West’s flagship spirit, here paired with local wildflower honey and organic, single-source, fair-trade vanilla beans — which are purchased raw and processed at the Middle West facility for the fullest flavor.

OYO Stone Fruit Vodka

The bright crimson colors of Ohio’s autumn inspired Middle West Spirits’ second vodka infusion, along with the fall harvest of the region’s abundant stone fruits. Building on the complex character of the Ohio wheat, Middle West Spirits paired its flagship OYO Vodka with Montmorency cherries, sweet yellow peaches, fragrant apricots, almonds, hibiscus, and a touch of the state’s finest wildflower honey to produce a fruit-forward spirit that captures the fresh seasonal essence of our favorite local stone fruits. A culinary expression of balance: sweet, tart, and dry in perfect harmony.

OYO Whiskey

Middle West’s flagship wheat whiskey is a unique addition to the crowded field of corn-, rye-, and barley-based (blended) dark spirits. Made from 100% Ohio soft red winter wheat, OYO Whiskey is produced and aged in small batches and offers a one-of-a-kind flavor profile distinctive to its Ohio origins. The distillery uses single-source Ohio grains to emphasize regional “terroir,” and barrel-ages the whiskey in white American oak cooperage sealed with beeswax.

OYO Bourbon Whiskey, Michelone Reserve

Four generations of distilling traditions and one particularly determined grandfather inspired Middle West Spirits’ first Master’s Blend. This small-batch whiskey pairs the finest Kentucky straight bourbon with our award-winning OYO Whiskey to create a smooth, smoky, and softly sweet bourbon that proudly bears the name of the grandfather who inspired it all. The Michelone Reserve is a flavor-forward blend of sweet yellow corn, soft red winter wheat, dark pumpernickel rye, and two-row barley.

OYO White Rye Whiskey (Unaged), Barreling Strength

Using 100% dark pumpernickel rye grown in fields across the Middle West, OYO White Rye Whiskey is made from scratch in small batches and bottled at a high proof, with strict adherence to four generations of distilling traditions. Enjoyed neat, blended in old-school cocktails, or paired with one of our micro-barrels for traditional cask-aging at home, this “White Dog” is anything but ordinary.

Tasting Notes: Clear. Sweet and spicy nose, with creamy notes of butterscotch and grain. Medium-long finish with a hint of pepper spice.

Originally distilled white rye whiskey (unaged), all natural, kosher. 55% alcohol by volume (110 proof).
